Hi! My name is Betsy Carroll and I am very excited to be teaching in the Busy Bees classroom this year! This will be my 3rd year at Great Beginnings. 

I grew up in Charlotte, NC and have spent the past 13 years as a resident of Leesburg after my husband retired from the Navy and we settled here. We have 3 children. Grace and Evan are college students and Aubrielle is in 5th grade.

I majored in English at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and have a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida.

I worked for LCPS for 10 years. During 8 of those years, I worked as the PALS tutor at Tolbert Elementary where I exclusively taught reading. I also have experience teaching preschool and 1st grade.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and gardening. I am a huge lover of all animals, especially dogs!

I love being part of the team at Great Beginnings Preschool!  It is a very special place ❤ and I'm looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and fun in the Busy Bees class!
